Meet David Gallmon II

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Gallmon II.

David, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My content creator identity name is Swegg. I am a resident of Douglasville, Georgia where I have lived all throughout my life in the same household thanks to my beautiful hardworking mother Veronica Gallmon. I am twenty-one-years old and a criminal justice major at the University of West Georgia. I am still figuring out what I would like to be in life, and I am slowly coming to a conclusion. I make videos on social media talking about various topics, relevant or irrelevant at the time, but with my own twist to it. The atmosphere for most videos have a comedic approach, but at the same time serious/not wrong(my opinion) about the topic at hand, as I speak on the topic I have background music playing which varies out between anime music, video game music and soundtracks you might hear in your favorite movie. I have been making them for about five to six months and have gained lots of traction.

At one point, I thought about starting a YouTube, but I am differentiating myself from other content creators and not going the YouTube route, primarily sticking with Instagram. For the future, I hope to make a living off of these videos, the reviews I receive from social media and locals in the area are positive and honestly fuels me to keep going with the videos. I like entertaining people and making them laugh, and have high hopes that one day the entire world will come across my ted talks.

Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part, I have not encountered any challenges on my journey so far and hope to keep it that way. I tend to stay away from drama lol.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The city of Atlanta is the PERFECT place for me I feel. There are numerous opportunities in the city available to each and everyone, you just have to be determined to go out and get it. Its as they say “the early bird gets the worm”. For someone starting out, they may be a tad bit nervous due to the city being and having numerous routes available to you. But within time, it is the perfect place.
