Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Inspire.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
So I’ve always been “That Girl”. I was always the support system, backbone, and voice of reason to everyone and everything I involved myself in. I came to a point in my life where I was simply exhausted with being the people pleaser and dream builder of others. I was in my early 20’s with no direction! I became depressed and felt that the real me was somewhere trapped and suppressed. My marriage was crumbling before my eyes, my drive had completely died, my mental state was deteriorating daily, and I felt as if my life had no meaning or purpose. I woke up everyday only to wish that I hadn’t. I was desperate for a change. I finally came to a crossroads where I had to make the decision to either stay in despair or set out to discover my destiny. So, I took the later of the two. Once I did, I realized it wasn’t enough for just myself alone to overcome. I needed to help others live in their truths. I needed to become to other women and young girls what I needed for myself in those dark moments. A coach, a friend, a motivator, an encourager. An example of grace, grind grit and resilience.

I reinvented myself and became affectionately known as “Destiny Inspire”. I then created Destiny Inspire LLC to provide services of empowerment to woman all over the world needing help tapping into her true authentic self, in order to bridge the gap from where she is now, to where she wants to be. Destiny Inspire is an innovative platform utilized through the platforms of speaking, coaching, and providing workshops for woman, youth, and those who are on the path to living a life they not only desire to live but were designed to live. In writing my book Discovering Destiny: 31 Day Guide to Finding Yourself and Fulfilling Your Purpose, I provide a blueprint to living a purpose driven life by sharing practical principles and experiences in how to discover and care for the real you! I’ve always been a firm believer that each person has a God-given purpose, and we do ourselves as well as our creator an injustice by not tapping into it. My whole mission is to empower, impact, and inspire others.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been far from a smooth road. I had a very rough time overcoming divorce at such a young age. After four years of marriage and seven years into a relationship, I had no idea how to start over let alone build a business. Being the daughter of a southern holiness preacher, and a local gospel radio icon in my hometown did not make my burden any easier. It was shameful to experience a life change on such a platform while trying to heal. It wasn’t easy getting the initial support I needed to reinvent myself and build a business and brand. It was definitely hard branding myself outside of a traditional religious background I had always been associated to.

Making the decision to become a certified Life Coach, Speaker, and Author that focused on drawing women of different backgrounds and walks of life for one common purpose, to help them find their purpose, was not an easy feat to accomplish nor explain. It was most difficult trying to manifest a dream that I could only see when I closed my eyes. Now, Imagine trying to explain that to someone else. I lost many friends as well as relationships. I had to learn the true meaning of elevation requiring separation.

There was no blueprint I knew of when starting out on my journey. I literally felt like I was “winging-it” so to speak, until I was able to find the right mentors to support me with the knowledge and insight I needed to pursue. I didn’t have many opportunities and not many people gave me a chance, so I created opportunities that I could leverage. I provided services for free very often in the beginning, just to build relationships and gain trust in my services and abilities. I’ve had to deal with my car being vandalized, not having a car at all, at the verge of not having anywhere to live. Myself! There were many times I sacrificed and did without just to continue my greatest investment. I was broke quite often funding my dream. I had to encourage even when I myself felt completely discouraged and ready to give up on my dreams.

I am the CEO of Destiny Inspire LLC, I provide all things empowerment to women and youth. I am a Certified Life Coach and I engage in group coaching, and one-on-one coaching in helping women to overcome obstacles, discover their purpose and impact their world. I conduct workshops, seminars, in the areas of personal development, goal setting, strategizing and execution. I am also a certified speaker where I travel and service various schools, companies, nonprofits, churches, and youth groups.

I am most proud that In only a year’s time I have traveled all over the US (and soon overseas) inspiring others. I have been graced to have spoken before hundreds of women at one time providing them with life-changing information and strategies that have changed their lives. I have been featured in national publications such as Rolling Out Magazine, international podcasts and deemed honorary Associate Professor by historic HBCU Paine College. My distinction is that I am able to be a hot mess at times, and use that to empower others with transparency, vulnerability, and relatability. I have gotten countless responses and follow-ups from women and youth who are now able to authentically and unapologetically embrace the flaws in their own lives. I am known as the “Empowerment Juggernaut” because I epitomize a powerful force crushing any obstacle in my path and give others the permission they seek to do the same. My passion for others is unparalleled and is the driving force behind my pursuit and purpose.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is one of the largest growing areas for new businesses and start-ups. I am originally from Augusta GA and relocated to Atlanta. I have been embraced! I believe in learning to bloom where you are planted until it’s time to change the soil. Women empowerment is a rapidly growing area in the Atlanta area and there are so many amazing opportunities and people to network with and grow your brand or business.
