Meet Elizabeth Kayange of Elizabethcooks in Duluth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Kayange.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Elizabeth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I officially started my business in January 2019. I always took pleasure in cooking and always enjoyed my time in the kitchen. So, one day one of my dearest friends asked me if I’ve thought about opening a catering business just something like that. He told me that i was able to get money by doing something I am passionate about then after about it, I decided to jump into the catering business and launch Elizabethcooks for you.

Elizabethcooks is a catering service here in ATLANTA, Georgia. We have a big diversity of foods from African, European, American. From appetizers to meal courses and dessert. We have a big variety and we are so excited to serve every single person who needs us. And during the weekend, when we don’t have big orders to take care of, we make some quick meals to order the same day and get it to deliver.

We believe that food is one of many ways to express love towards people and that’s why it is our responsibility to do our best and to give you what you deserve and the best of it.

But I wouldn’t be able to make it without GOD and my family. I’ve been able to create some recipes and get them approved by my family and get some clients out of nowhere by the grace of GOD.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If I say yes, I would be lying.

It is always hard from the beginning but with faith and encouragement from my family, I didn’t give up.

I know and I follow many other caterers around me and I’ve seen their clientele. In the beginning, I was really afraid that I might not get clients or that my food wouldn’t good enough for other people.

I had trouble having some funds to help my business stand on standards level but again, I didn’t give up.

Sometimes, I had to pull myself back and try something else but still, I knew that at the end of the day, we would make it and yes, we are not there yet but we will get there soon.

Please tell us about Elizabethcooks.
As I said, Elizabethcooks is a catering service that takes big orders and on weekends same day orders.

We propose a variety of foods (African, European and American) we hope to extend that list soon.

We are known for our famous samoussa (you should try it).

Well, I am proud of my company because we beat all the odds that were against us and we decided to stand and work hard to get to a different level every single time we faced a challenge.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing, I know that I may have had difficulties in the beginning but that’s nothing compared to what GOD has prepared for Elizabethcooks.
