Emily, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Originally in 2013, I was making jewelry out of coral, rocks, glass anything that caught my eye as different. One day I was in a store and a large textile caught my eye. I had to buy and take home and make something out of it!! The textile came to life a few weeks later as the kindred spirit.

Somewhere in my hunt for sage, I came across a Native American store that sold possibility bags (still cannot find this site or store). The tale went as possibility bags were used by medicine women and other members of the tribe to carry their goods herbs, precious belongs, food.

Anything is possible with a possibility bag! The kindred spirit was in great demand at the corporate world I worked in women loved them as briefcases, gym bags and as a purse. Then late November of 2016, the soulmate arrived this bag changed everything for me I couldn’t keep up with the demand this is when I knew, I had found my little niche to begin Emily Yellow.

Has it been a smooth road?
Yes there have been big waves along the way! The biggest for me is social media, I hired someone to help me grow in this area – this is where I learned that working with someone else promoting me, I needed to be crystal clear on what I am looking for and wanting to achieve. In the end, taking back over that part of my business was a wise decision.

The bestfriend is a single or double strap bag that sits perfectly under your arm or as a crossover for bike riding or a day at the market. The soulmate is the perfect lifestyle bag for yoga ballet barre gym it can hold everything for the Daily adventures. The traveler is a large funky textile with random colors tassels this is great carry on bag, weekender, girls night out, or I have a lot of stuff I need to carry today. The voyager is the largest bag it’s good for staying at your friends house for a week! The newest bag is the Soujourner which is a yoga mat bag! Makes any yogi’s life easier.
