Meet Jade Ladson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Ladson.

Hi Jade, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my company in 2005 after realizing that Corporate America was taking me away from my kids lives. I had been doing events prior to that but only as a hobby so quitting my full time job forced me to turn my passion for Weddings and Events into a career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Ha, it has been anything but smooth. It’s definitely been a roller coaster ride over the last few years. The biggest struggles for me was not being where I wanted to be in the industry and not having the clients that I wanted. The funny thing about all of that is that until last year, that I finally learned I was the culprit in all of my strife and struggle. I was literally getting in my own way

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Wedding Planner and my primary goal is to make sure that the couple enjoys the planning process just as much as the wedding itself. My job is to guide and educate them on making the best decisions for the wedding based on not only their vision but their personality and financial comfort level as well.

What makes me stand apart is the fact that I’m not going to just throw some glitter and flowers on your event to make it pretty but leave you pulling your hair out in the process. Yes, I’m going to make sure you have a beautiful wedding, but in the process, I take time to get to know my clients. I’m their mediator, attorney, financial adviser, personal assistant, and most importantly… • Be the one person to offer them a little laughter when those people nearest and dearest to them (forgive me) are driving them nuts!

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Covid-19, as scary as it was… was a huge learning lesson for me. I learned:

1. Never stop learning
2. Business is business, but your clients are HUMAN {Have a heart}
3. Procrastination is the Devil… Scale that business Sis.
