Meet Jamie Burbage of Made By Mamz in Blairsville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Burbage.

Jamie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in north Georgia in a small rural town named Blairsville. My mother and grandmother were wonderful cooks & wonderful bakers and all of my sisters and myself share those passions.

One of the greatest gifts a person can have is the ability to make someone feel special and loved and my mother was one of the best at doing this through her cooking. If I can pass this along tell my customers I will be happy

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have only been open since May 2017 so far we’ve had a great experience! God has blessed us with favor & the community seems to love us! We have great reviews on Facebook and Instagram and I’m very pleased with how we have done

Please tell us about Made By Mamz.
We are a small bakery that specializes in gourmet cupcakes that are intensely moist, rich and beautiful to look at!! We individually package our cupcakes complete with spoons and bows & they are ready to go as you stroll the streets and sites of beautiful Blairsville.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to church on Sunday and the wonderful Sunday dinners afterwards. Sometimes, as a special treat, my mother would pack a picnic lunch and instead of walking all the way back home we would leave church and go on a picnic then meander our way around back to our homestead.
