Meet Jasmine Clark, Regine Joyce and Michael Lewis of The Naked Communion in West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Clark, Regine Joyce and Michael Lewis.

Regine started The Naked Communion as a solo show in 2017 and started the foundation of what it is today. The Naked Communion was implemented with 36 episodes in its first season. Summer of 2018, Regine brought Michael and Jasmine on as permanent co-host and we have collectively taken TNC to another level. In the year that we have been a “throuple”, we have reached over 100 listeners a day, outsold merchandise, accomplished a live show, curated an anniversary brunch, and are now in the process of planning our second live show. We have went above and beyond what we could have imagined and it wouldn’t have been for our supporters, The Nude Crew.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting off as a three-person show was not the easiest. We had to get our segments together individually and also find a way to have our energies mesh. Everything that we do we do on our own. We record in home, Regine is the audio engineer, and Michael edits the episodes. We have our hardships and mishaps being that we don’t have a recording studio and professional equipment; however, we have made it through two years and three seasons and have not let our listeners down…that much.

The Naked Communion – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a podcast dedicated to Black millennials that are in the pursuit of a check. During our regular episodes, we discuss social media topics, self-help affirmations, and life advice/topics. We are best known for our lack of “bad bitch” updates and “Niggas be niggin” merchandise. The thing we are most proud of as a company is sticking together and building on top of the foundation Regine has implemented. Most businesses don’t last. Not only have we lasted but we’ve grown from co-host to family and received major love and support along the way. What sets us apart from other podcast is that we are unapologetically us. We don’t always have our stuff together and we are proud to let it be known. We are as transparent as they come because our listeners deserve to know that the show they are a fan of are just regular people like them.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is happiness and growing to unmentionable heights. Money isn’t everything but it sure makes things better, right? Our criteria is that you always put your best foot forward and strive for greatness.
