Meet Jeresha “Sherri J” White of Success Souvenirs in Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeresha “Sherri J” White.

Jeresha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Becoming a parent at the age of 14 to making it where I am today pretty much sums things up. Even having a baby as early as I did couldn’t stop me from the destiny that was to be mine. I still was able to graduate high school on-time and prepare my self for the real world while carrying around the responsibility of a child.

Through many trials and triumphs, screw-ups, let downs, and odd jobs here and there, I finally
Opened the doors to my first daycare center at the age of 23. I was able to use that daycare as a stepping stone to pave the way to me opening, owning, and having a partnership in over six across the Metro Atlanta area, and even a few in other states. Due to my story, I was motivated to launch Success Souvenirs, which is a company I use to pave the way for others through classes, coaching. Motivational speaking, and many other channels and avenues.

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road, the many challenges that came with being not only a mother but a teen mother with very limited resources. Not being taken seriously in the world of business due to my age, my looks, and my lack of knowledge and experience running businesses in the early stages of my career were also struggles I had to endure.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Success Souvenirs story. Tell us more about it.
Success Souvenirs is my brand/company which houses all of my many businesses. From my Childcare Division to my book, as well as my motivational speaking and coaching services.

I am mostly known throughout Atlanta, as the girl with the daycares, that is what people think about when they hear the name Sherri J.

I am most people of the fact that I am able to run my company without money being the motivating factor. I find that I am the most successful when I engage in genuine organic interaction with people based on common goals and beliefs rather than for financial gain. A lot of the opportunities I offer under the Success souvenirs umbrella consist of me giving back in one way or another, either free or through very limited monetary gain in most cases.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The childcare industry is booming. As are the coaching, motivational speaking, and education Industries. I plan to continue to grow with all the industries I am affiliated with while finding numerous was to set myself apart from other businesses and business owners affiliated with the same industries.
