Meet Jermaine Thomas of T2T Media in South Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jermaine Thomas.

Jermaine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I been around music since I was a kid. My uncles do a lot of DJing in New Orleans to Baton Rouge. I grew up listening to Ghetto Boys, Scarface, OutKast, Uncle Luke, Tupac, Nas, MC L, and Dayton Family just to name a few. I didn’t take it seriously until I went to College at the Art Institute of Atlanta. There I learned that there was so much more I could do with audio, so I tried different things like Broadcast Audio and Sound Mixing. I was naturally good at it, so I started working for various TV networks. I even tried Studio Management. I learned valuable lessons from every experience and met wonderful people along the way.

Has it been a smooth road?
I must say that I have enjoyed every experience. Of course, there are ups and downs, but your character is defined by how you handle the situations. I can’t complain at all.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I produce tracks, engineer sessions, worked just about every position on film sets, photography, I even shoot music videos, movies, interviews. I love making beats. I just like good music.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Things are definitely digital now. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’ll be there doing my thing.
