Meet Joanna Sheppard of Valia Rose Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joanna Sheppard.

Joanna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Organically grew from an accountant to an event designer after one day designing a baby shower for a friend which turned into destination wedding. Three years later here I am full time with a showroom and the most amazing team ever.

I Spend alot time critiquing each event and its process to analyze what can be improved each and every time.

Definitely pay homage to my grandmothers, the company’s namesake. Qualities they instilled in me shine in every in event.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely has not been a smooth road.

Learning when to say no and setting boundaries was a huge struggle for me. Now that I have boundaries, all of our clients truly get the best of me and I can sleep at night!
