Today we’d like to introduce you to Juwan Coates.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started when I was younger standing around watching my mother and grandmother cook these amazing dishes. My two favorite dishes were Traditional Soul Food & Southern , my mother was expert at Southern cooking while my grandmother had traditional cooking on lock. Over the time I’d wonder could I make these same dishes as them, yet even better. As time progressed and my skills increased, I began making entrees for close friends and family and received great feedback from there JuEatzz & Ju’liens was created.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The major struggles are people taking my kindness for weakness. From a business aspect, don’t mix your personal life with your business life so there is always clear air and no misunderstandings.

Ju’Liens – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
JuEatzz will be a food truck known for its abnormal street food on the Southside adding unique style an creativity to every plate, Ju’liens is a soon to be restaurant that will be known for seafood and pasta of every kind. Im known for being a chef & creator, what sets me apart from others is the drive and the passion I have to be nothing less than the best chef ever, and continue to put smiles on faces.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The Proudest moment of my career has yet to come. I’m always setting new goals for myself. I think that moment of my career will come when I’m able to venture out to different States and establish good relationships with other chefs and different corporations.
