Meet Kendalyn Watkins of The K Effect in College Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendalyn Watkins.

Kendalyn, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been creative and thoughtful. Summer 2019, I took on a job position working for a well known funeral home in Atlanta, Georgia. I met with a family who expressed their financial hardship, which was not enough to cover funeral programs. I asked the family if I could design and print the programs for them at no cost considering it was my first time and I had no clue on what I was doing. On the day of the service, the family was very pleased and expressed that this was my calling. I soon began to offer memorable program designs at low costs for families with financial hardships.

The K Effect has grown so much over the course of one year and have gained relationships with families in several states. We are professional, prominent, and prompt. We provide the service and render the vision to ensure that our families are beyond pleased with our work.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Along the way, we struggle with being overlooked and denied. We’ve had doors shut in our faces only for God to open many more doors. People were intimidated by our success and we used that intimidation to pour more love into the families that we do serve.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The K Effect story. Tell us more about the business.
The K Effect was founded in 2019. We specialize in memorial keepsakes and graphics and design. We are known for providing prompt service and excellent professionalism. We are patient and understandable, knowing that this is a difficult time for families. Not only do we render the service but we also create everlasting bonds with all that we come into contact with.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, we see ourselves worldwide. We want to be able to expand to other states offering immaculate and unforgettable service.
