Meet Kimberly Williamson of Kimbella’s Chef Services in Smyrna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Williamson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kimberly. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got my start cooking with my Jamaican father when I was young. Every time he was in the kitchen, so was I. From there, I would cook for friends in school and my college roommates. In college, I was a pre-med major. I hated every minute of it. So I left and attended culinary school at the Art Institute of Atlanta, where I obtained my bachelor’s in restaurant management. Soon after, I started working for Muss and Turners in Smyrna. I’ve been there for five years while creating and maintaining my own business for about a year and a half.

Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing that is worth having comes easy. My biggest challenge, other than COVID, would be just trusting the process. I’ve definitely had to learn a few things about patience.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Kimbella’s Chef Services is a catering company that services weddings, office lunches, and meal preps, etc. We are known for our “Chalie’s Sweet and Sexy BBQ Sauce,” named after my Uncle, and our Smoked Turkey Collard Green Egg Rolls w/ Giblet Gravy. My proudest moment would be, debuting my BBQ Sauce. My Uncle had a bbq restaurant when I was younger, and his customers loved his bbq sauce. He gave me his recipe, and I promised him that I would bottle it and put his name on it. I am so thankful he is alive to see it. And from there, we were able to launch our 2nd sauce, Chalies Spicy Sexy Buffalo!!!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, our city is full of people who love to eat. As long as you can provide a party on the taste buds, people will love you!
