Today we’d like to introduce you to Connie Marina.
Connie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a child, I was always lost in my own world, and constantly creating different worlds inside my mind. Being a creative was always something that was a part of me, but I didn’t truly get to express that until I got my first professional camera in my later years of college. Now I’m able to express it every day and make my incredible fashion and wedding clients happy too!
Has it been a smooth road?
Generally, any career that isn’t in the norm is very challenging to start if you don’t have support around you. Although that wasn’t something prevalent in my beginnings, I’m very lucky to have the love and support around me now, which allows me to trump the failures that inevitably come with any business and grow from them every time.
Have you ever felt like giving up?
Quitting is never something that would occur to me since being a creative and photographer is who I am. But there for sure have been some really tough moments. Every failure that happens feels terrible in the moment, but knowing that every successful person goes through many hardships can make it easier every time.
What advice do you wish to give to those thinking about pursuing a path similar to yours?
Never give up. Start from the bottom and work your way up.
What are you looking forward to?
I cannot wait for the day that my team and I can travel the world together!
