Hi Marsha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into the world of jewelry and home decor design was both unexpected and divinely guided, filled with twists and turns that ultimately led to the creation of Heavenly Beads & More. With a degree in Political Science, I never imagined a career in design, but God had other plans—leading me toward a creative calling I hadn’t anticipated.
The seed for my business was planted in the early 2000s while my family was stationed in Texas. Before I had even crafted my first design, the name Heavenly Beads was given to me by God, a clear and undeniable sign to explore this path.
With that name in my heart and a growing sense of curiosity, I dove into jewelry design, teaching myself through research, trial, and error. The learning process was challenging but deeply fulfilling. When I completed my first piece, an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and joy confirmed that I had discovered my true passion.
A year later, I took a leap of faith and officially launched Heavenly Beads & More. Over time, my love for design expanded beyond jewelry to include home decor, and my creative journey became even more exhilarating. The thrill of transforming an idea into a tangible work of art continues to drive me every day.
My story is a testament to the idea that sometimes, our true passions find us when we least expect them. Heavenly Beads & More is more than just a business, it’s a reflection of my love for fashion, style, and artistic expression. With each piece I create, I aim to share a little piece of heaven and look forward to the ever-evolving journey ahead.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I believe every business journey has its smooth roads and bumpy ones, and mine has been no different. As a self-taught artisan, the learning curve was steep, and there were moments of frustration. However, the reward of mastering my craft made every challenge worthwhile. While I had some business knowledge, running my own company required skills I had to develop along the way. Both in business and jewelry design, things are constantly evolving, so I’m always learning and embracing new challenges with an open mind.

Heavenly Beads & More is an online jewelry and home décor boutique specializing in one-of-a-kind, soulful art for both the body and home. We believe that accessories and décor should do more than simply adorn, they should be an extension of individuality, telling a story, evoking emotion, and making a statement.
What sets us apart is the unique inspiration behind our creations. Our designs blend the timeless elegance of the modern vintage era, the divine beauty of nature, the free flow of artistic expression, and the innovative structures of architecture. Each piece is a fusion of natural and manmade materials, capturing the harmony between both worlds.
One of our proudest moments as a company was being commissioned to design a gift for the renowned American novelist and Pulitzer Prize winner, Alice Walker, a true honor and testament to the artistry behind our work.

I don’t believe in luck, good or bad. I believe that everything happens according to God’s divine plan. Every challenge, success, and unexpected turn in my life and business has been orchestrated with purpose.
There have been moments that seemed difficult at the time, but I now see them as lessons that strengthened my faith, sharpened my skills, and prepared me for greater opportunities. Every achievement, from launching Heavenly Beads & More to having my work recognized by remarkable individuals, has been a reflection of God’s guidance, not mere chance.
Rather than relying on luck, I trust in hard work, faith, and the belief that each step of my journey is leading me exactly where I’m meant to be.
