Meet Michelle C. of Kissable Lips Cosmetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle C.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began makeup at the tender age of 15, doing make up for friends, family, proms, events etc. Shortly after graduating high school, I enrolled in Cosmetology school, where I received my Master’s Cosmetology License, and discovered I had a passion for makeup more then I had a passion for hair. From there I began to start working at different hair salons, and makeup counters, learning the craft and began to specialize in Eyebrows, and Make Overs.

Initially, my first makeup gig was working at a hair salon, as I began to do eyebrows and makeovers, my clients started asking me what products I was using to create their looks. That is when Kissable Lips Cosmetics was born!

I researched how to start my own makeup line and it was done! Kissable Lips Cosmetics started as an online store in 2003, where clients could purchase online as well as in person. After many years of working with different makeup counters and hair salons, the passion to have a store was born. Thus Kissable Lips Cosmetics first inline store was opened in 2005 and has been thriving since.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been smooth, but it was definitely worth it. Though there are many struggles being a business owner, the only ones that come to mind, is finding dependable help. A good staff can make or break any business.

The good thing about having good help and a good staff is when your happy, your clientele will be as well. That is my advice to anyone starting a business or that’s in business, finding the proper team to keep your clientele happy and giving quality service at all times.

Kissable Lips Cosmetics – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Kissable Lips Cosmetics is a Full Line of Cosmetics including, Foundations, Eyeshadows, Blush, Lipgloss, Eyeliner, etc, Skin Care, Lashes & More. All of our products are water based and hyper-allergenic. We also specialize in Brow Arching, Waxing, Lashes, Make Overs, as well as provide professional photo shoots. We are known for our wonderful brow services, Flawless N Fifteen Make-Overs, and our clients love our products!

Kissable Lips Cosmetics is also the creator of the Annual Fantasy Makeup Competition that has inspired other makeup companies to create make up driven competitions.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been quite a few proud moments. Other than being in business for more than a decade, our latest product set to debut is our subscription-based beauty box, the “Kiss Box” that is releasing soon!
