Today we’d like to introduce you to Monique Elliott.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Monique. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Atlanta in 2016 to focus on my self, career and purpose. In 2005, I lost my brother to gun violence. As time went by, I lost two more brothers (on my dad side) to gun violence. At that moment, I knew I wanted a better environment for my family. When I left Virginia, I honestly had no plan. All I had was my savings account and faith. When I lived in my hometown Portsmouth VA, I nursed and work in different group homes with special needs adults. I loved what I did for others but it was time for a change. I no longer wanted to work for survival. I was ready to come into my purpose.

After I got my family settled last year, I started to focus on me. What I wanted to do career-wise. I always wanted to get into the beauty and skin industry so I filed LLC to open my own body sculpting spa here in Atlanta. Helping woman build the bodies they want the non/surgical way. Laser Lipo, Cavitation, Skin tightening, Wood Sculpting/Cellulite removal & Butt lifts. I got certifications through another license spa here in Atlanta. After speaking with state licensing, I decided to pursue my Esthetician license before I officially opened up. It only made sense for me to get my state licenses so I could offer as many services I could possible. Revenge Skin and Body will offer skincare, body sculpting, waxing, plus more. Now that I have been set back for a few, I decided to start working on my second business while I finish school. Revenge Curves LLC fitness/beauty line.

I started my first fitness journey in 2012 after being overweight and unhappy after giving birth to my son. I remember stepping on the scale and busting out in tears. I wore 257 pounds and couldn’t believe it. At the moment, I stop playing and begin to lose weight. I would exercise daily with my husband for an hour. We would go to the gym or take walks. I put myself on a very strict diet and started waist training. I went from 257 to 167 by waist training, dieting, and gym. Once I started getting amazing responses from my before and after pictures, I knew fitness and beauty was my purpose.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Honestly, I don’t think starting any business will be easy. All businesses will have their struggles. It’s all a part of your journey. So much work goes into starting a business overall. I personally struggled with getting the correct information I needed to start my businesses. I spent hours researching daily on manufacturing, e-commerce and how to properly market on social media. Im still struggling with marketing on social media. Soon, I will have a PR team who will help me give Revenge Curves that boost it needs.

Revenge Curves LLC founded by a young entrepreneur. This brand was built on a penny and dream. Created to inspire and help a woman lose weight while getting the sexy curves they want by waist training and fitness. Revenge Curves is a brand that also sells shapewear, apparel, and accessories. I have been launched for two months and have sold more than 100 waist trainers. As a company, I’m most proud of all the positive feedback and reviews I have been getting. If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t change a thing. Revenge Curves is the brand that it is today because of the ups and downs. I knew nothing about business so I did my research on business management. No publicist so I became my own voice and started marketing to my consumers. Now, Revenge Curves is steady growing daily.
