Meet Najeedah Suber of WorldSuberModel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Najeedah Suber.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY in Fort Greene Public Housing with a large family (Aunties, Cousins, Grandmother, play cousins you name it) let’s just say it took a village. My mother was a theater major growing up she had a flair for the arts; so it was only right that she introduced me to creative expression.

I was apart of Roots Community Film a creative group of locals expressing ourselves founded by Jim Hill; one of the first Black male models in the industry from Fort Greene. Roots Community Film kicked off my likeness for the business. Mr. Hill told my mom there’s something about her we must continue to groom Najeedah but I wasn’t 100% excited about not being a kid. I was 12 when my mom wanted a change of scenery for me there was a high crime rate in our community & she believed there’s so much more life outside of Brooklyn; and Charlotte, NC was our next stop & let’s just say I had a hard time adjusting so I focused on school & decided once I graduated I’d head back to the big city on my own. College was next but I didn’t get accepted into Parsons or F.I.T so I decided to jump in the Modeling world in North Carolina, I walked for a designer who gave me the opportunity to travel to several fashion shows for her upcoming women’s line. I was excited & realized just because I’m not in a major city doesn’t mean I can’t be a “SuberModel”.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road you ask? I’ll say this road to success has been an obstacle course full of hurdles in sand, but an obstacle course that must be taken. Dealing with different agencies, becoming independent collaborating with photographers and other artists to build the WSM brand. I’ve had the courage to be knocked down along this journey & I must say the hardest part was losing my grandmother Ms. Elizabeth L. Suber shortly after moving to Atlanta she was like the big sister I never had. I could call her for anything the truth, laughs, & most importantly her support. My grandmother was my everything & I owe my success to her. She was a fighter and raised fighters, so when it feels like I’m being taken in by quicksand or it’s really just a bad moment I breathe in, get back up and shout “Is that all you got?” That’s what being “Suber” is all about.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about WorldSuberModel – what should we know?
Suber (my last name) means Someone U Believe Elevates Reality! What can I say: other than I bring pictures to life? I live for a high fashion photo shoot showcasing motion, cheekbones you name it. In my downtime when I’m not modeling, working as a stand-in/stunt double or prepping for my first acting debut I’m developing content and bridging gaps for beauty and clothing brands such as HerBMonet, Nessa_Nailz, and several other upcoming entrepreneurs. I live to inspire and see others elevate.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Having a self-motivated attitude is definitely what I work on daily, there will be days you don’t want to get up and train because you were just on set for 14 hours. So I tell myself being stagnant isn’t what we train for create vision boards to get me through as well as find other artistic ways to express myself. I can’t forget time management because living in Atlanta you learn traffic is np ones friend and if you don’t plan for traffic you’re in a world of trouble.
