Meet Nathanael Rush of Rush Fit Gear in Dacula

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathanael Rush.

Nathanael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer for a few years now. I knew that I wanted to own my own company one day and for me, athletic clothing was a natural fit. So, I began this journey about three years ago about creating Rush Fit Gear. I knew absolutely nothing when I started but I had a dream and a goal. So, I spent hundreds of hours for months researching and studying. From learning web design to international shipping to forming an LLC and taxes for a company. It was a lot but I was determined to reach my goal.

So, the first step was learning and now I needed to move forward and begin taking action which would cost a lot of money. Being new to the training industry at the time, I didn’t have the money necessary from that. But I have been very fortunate over the last few years to work as a professional actor starting in Commercials for Powerade and Zaxbys and being in my first movie, Sextuplets on Netflix and becoming eligible to join the Screen Actors Guild. This became a very crucial part of growing my company because it gave me the resources necessary to do it. And definitely without this experience Rush Fit Gear wouldn’t be where it is today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This road has been incredibly difficult. Hardest thing I have ever done in my life. But it has also been the most rewarding. When I started, I knew nothing but manufacturing clothing and I have definitely learned a lot of hard lessons on what doesn’t work. Over the years, I have collected countless “prototypes” of clothing that are awful and most people will never see but I keep them as reminders of where I started. It is important to remember because it keeps you motivated.

Rush Fit Gear – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Rush Fit Gear specializes in premium athletic clothing. We are different because we use unique blends of materials that not only give the clothing a one of a kind feel but allows them to last for a long time which is very important for workout clothing.

We have shipped to Germany, the UK, to Mexico and Greece and many others. I am very proud of our company to have come from and the different lives and countries we have been able to connect with. We have even been featured in GQ, VOGUE, and MENS HEALTH MAGAZINE which was great being a young company.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is when you don’t allow your life circumstances to limit you. I believe in dreaming bigger than yourself and your circumstances. Aim high and never settle. My company was founded on three words: “Never Give Up” and I truly believe that when you push through obstacles, on the other side is a success.
