Meet Patrice Sterling

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Patrice Sterling. Patrice was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Alandria Lloyd.

Patrice, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
My name is Patrice Sterling; I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, extended family, and friends- hosting game nights, leading Praise and Worship in church, and simply enjoying life.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I am the Advocate Mom! Empowerment Coach, Care Strategist and speaker. My best-selling book, Taking My Life Back: A Family’s Story of Triumph from Transplant to Transformation, is a documented reflection of the 18-year long journey for my son to receive a bone marrow transplant. I consider advocacy my calling and get the most joy in helping others. My work is to empower caregivers to establish partnerships with their providers, unlock their ability to question the experts, and uncover ways to impact their care. Most recently, I have developed a notebook/journal for caregivers. It serves as their “care bible” to keep necessary documentation in one place. Also, in development is a complete program to help families navigate healthcare and educational systems. This past year, in the wake of Covid, I have been afforded many opportunities, across many countries, of engagement highlighting Sickle Cell Disease, advocacy, family, and more. Next on my agenda is the release of a beautiful anthology that I am blessed to contribute to; Kept Promises, Prospering in a Pandemic is a compilation of testimonies about prospering during the pandemic; the visionary is Alandria Lloyd. This anthology is the perfect way to encourage others to go after the dreams they have never executed. Yes, even during a pandemic. I am happy to share my story as I had an unusual amount of prosperity and growth during this time. It was a period that forced me to slow down and respond to the inclinations of my heart. When you realize and move in your purpose, you can always expect to prosper. As we advance, I will expand services, write more books, and enjoy more occasions to collaborate and help others gain what they need for themselves and their loved ones.
