Meet Phileena Daniel of Clever Beauty Bar in South East

Today we’d like to introduce you to Phileena Daniel.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Phileena. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am 20 years old born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, where I found my passion of becoming a hairstylist. I knew this would be a dream for me since 5th grade after watching my family members do hair all the time, I started practicing every chance I had on myself and others until I became good at my talent and ever since then I knew that one day my I would grow to become one of the best hairstylists from Atlanta.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey was not as smooth as most would think but it wasn’t so hard either. As I grew my clientele, I’ve experienced different things along the way such as time management and different techniques just so that my client can be satisfied. I went from getting up early @8am to start on one client and I would have 3 to 4 clients a day while having to work a 9 to 5 job. I was always tired and never really got the proper rest as should have because I put my clients first. When I became pregnant, I thought that I wouldn’t be able to do hair as much as I did because I was still working a regular job and I didn’t want to stress myself but I was still able to continue chasing my dreams.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Clever Beauty Bar story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in Braiding hair, so which braids styles a client wants, I will do. I’m known for nice and neat braids exactly the way my clients ask, also caring for them and making sure that I meet all of there needs. One thing I am proud of is staying focused on what I really want to accomplish when doing hair such as getting my name out there in the world becoming bigger than I am today. Something that sets me apart from others Is that I’m not just in it for the money, I actually want you to see the beauty in yourself, be a better you and feel good about it.
