Meet “Godess” Renee Perkins

Today we’d like to introduce you to “Godess” Renee Perkins.

Renee, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been a Dreamer. I started Out Reading Novels About Other Aspiring African American Women, which led me to create my own small businesses. Now I never imagined me being an author but after working with My Sister “Uniquely Lashay” and other urban authors in the literature World it inspired me to work on my own non-fiction Novel, “The Struggles Of Being Beautiful” which is about Black African American Women in the American world and the American workplace. This led me to start my own small tax business as well. Also led me to branch out and become an entrepreneur also step into the fashion world. “Renee’s Perfect Body Boutique For Men & Women will provide casual and dressy clothing for men and women from everyday wear to prom wear to lingerie wear for women.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, the journey was not easy. Some of my struggles along the way was finding the “Real” me; and when I say that what I mean is everything is not for everybody. Coming from working into the Healthcare Field I have learned that being an entrepreneurer is more where my heart is. As an African American Woman its challenging but more fulfilling for me doing things on my own.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with “Renee’s Edits And Promotions”, Renee Perkins Tax Preparer At “One Stop Taxes”, Renee Perkins, Indie Author! – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I have many entrepreneurship, the first one that came to be was ” Renee’s Edits and Promotions” working so close to other authors, like ” Uniquely Lashay, “Miss Dee,” and etc. which inspired me to come up with ideas of my own, like my non-fictional novel, “The Struggles Of Being Beautiful” which will be soon hitting the charts. This led me to become a tax preparer to help out other entrepreneurs in the Southwest Georgia area. Being an entrepreneur has also led me to start an online boutique, which will be called “Renee’s Perfect Body Boutique for Men & Women!” I am most proud of myself as an individual for going against the odds. What set me apart from others would be my charisma, my confidence and my lovely brown skin whom I represent the most for when it comes to African American “Nubian Goddesses” Women in America. Nothing satisfies me more than representing for “dark-skinned’ women due to the fact that the world views us an inferior to other races and other women.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future includes publishing my very first novel, ” The Struggles Of Being Beautiful.’ Also to keep striving for the stars with my other businesses for the year 2019.
