Meet Rob Beatz of Rob Beatz Ent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Beatz.

Rob, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started producing music in 2010, my last year of high school. I marched in my high school drum line back in Naples Florida at Naples High school and continued marching college At Bethune Cookman University in the fall of 2011. I received my degree in Music Recording Technology.

I studied Music Theory and history and had a percussion background so my production in music enhanced during my time in college. I started My own studio recording business at my apartment in 2014. Since then I’ve continued to do work at home or I travel and bring studios to clients. I recently moved to Atlanta Georgia, August 2017.

There I met with the Grammy Award Winning Producer James Worthy and have done work for him as a producer and engineer. He has also involved me in works for Jhonni Blaze, Fetty Wapp, Blac Youngsta. I was also introduced to Ecstacy from the Legendary Hip Hop Group Whodini through my friend Micheal Archer (Swayvo Twain) who is Angie Stones son.

Since then I have put both James and Ecstacy on a single called “Move” for James Album and the track has been doing great numbers since its release. I plan on continuing to doing some major works in the near future and ultimately pursue my career in film and television scoring.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve had a lot of ups and downs. Relationships, finances, loyalty, bad business, politics, It all comes with the territory. People see what you can offer but they like to take advantage of you if you’re not aggressive enough. My biggest flaws were personal vs business relationships and it can get you caught up in ways that can hurt you and the client or artist.

I’m still learning but have come along way from when I started. Also, it isn’t the easiest of balancing personal and social life. Your friends and family might not understand what you have going on. I’ve missed so much over the years due to working in the studio so much. Recently I have been taking the time to go out more when I can get the chance!

Rob Beatz Ent – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in Vocal Recording, Mixing Mastering, Songwriting, Arranging, Producing various different genres from R&B, Hip Hop, Funk, Pop, Club, Reggae, Jazz, and Gospel. I also do Scoring and composition for short films and web series.

I’m proud of being able to accomplish so much at a young age and to do everything on my own for the most part and I still nowhere near my peak.

What sets me apart is what it takes a whole team to do, I can manage to handle everything on my own standards and the results are usually satisfying, to say the least.

My goal is to always have to replay timeless sound. Quality over quantity. I rather have one solid record that you can play almost anywhere than to have multiple songs that will be hot for the moment and forgotten later.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success through consistency. If you believe in yourself first everything else follows. You learn from mistakes keep improving on flaws not just as a producer but to your lifestyle as well.

I look for humbleness and a drive to wanting to go above and beyond. I’m not a fan of what I did the day before because I want it to be better the next day until its right. Its either get the job done or don’t do it at all.

I’ll literally tell someone I don’t want to hear the concept I want the full value and think too about it as if you weren’t the artist or producer behind the work. Would you still listen to it?
