Meet Robert Wright of Wright Now Weddings

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Wright.

Robert, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Wright Now Weddings started out as a dream and a thought, honestly. My wife and I were planning our wedding back in 2014 and decided on what we wanted for the wedding celebration. The bill was more than we expected with everything that we desired. I had a conversation about it and decided to speak with one of the best wedding planners/decor people we knew, which is Tekila Fraizer (A Little Extra Help). She gave me some advice on what I needed to do to get started and she referred me to some of her clients.

I built a website and started finding ways to get wedding leads and traffic for bookings. When starting, I did some free ceremonies just to get my feet wet and reviews, then I started setting my fees based on smaller ceremonies (Elopements) to actual; Weddings (Anything larger than 20 Guests). At this point, we have performed close to 400 or more ceremonies in the past six years. I love what I do so much that I was able to turn it into a full-time entrepreneurial journey, I perform ceremonies every day of the week and I love it. It is an amazing feeling to be apart of so many people’s love journey on a consistent basis.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hmmm, has it been a smooth road? Honestly, I’d say at the beginning, no. I had to find out what experience I wanted to provide to my clients. I was searching for the best possible experience. I added items and services and then removed some. I finally was able to find the services that worked for each client and that positioned us for nothing less than exceptional service.

Please tell us about Wright Now Weddings.
Wright Now Weddings is a Wedding Officiant Service. We perform the ceremony for the clients. After the ceremony is completed, we process the document (Marriage License) for them to be legally married. We collaborate with many other services such as Photographers and Videographers, Caterers, Bakers, Planners, Coordinators and more. We specialize in last-minute ceremonies, zoom ceremonies, and ceremonies that are unique in character. We do them all very well, lol. Just Give Us a call and see!! 🙂  I think that in six years over 400 clients, I am most proud of branding love and laughter throughout the ceremonies and that shows in our reviews. I think in six years, we have only gotten 2 4 star ratings and all the rest are five stars. (That’s a BIG accomplishment) and I’m happy we’ve come this far with all that has happened, pandemic and all.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I think my favorite memory from my childhood is that I was always able to make people that I came in contact with a smile. Knowing that even being a child and having that ability meant something and still does even to this day. I hope that answered your question.
