Meet Sarai Jimenez

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sarai Jimenez. Sarai was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Nala Jackson.

Sarai, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
Being a Dominican born in the Bronx, New York, then raised in Clayton county, and residing in Fayette County for a year or two; many different cultures surrounded me. Growing up in the projects, my family’s norm was finding creative ways to make ends meet. So, creativity has always been my way of life. Moving to Georgia was a huge culture shock; I felt like an outsider. I didn’t dress the way they dressed; I didn’t listen to the same music; my interests were uniquely distinct. When I became aware of all this, I began to tap into my creative roots and claim my birthrights of artistry. I began to pursue modeling in middle school; it started as nothing serious; I just knew I was blessed with height and wanted to use that gift. In high school, I began songwriting. Music has always been my most significant creative dream since a child and is still on the top of my list now. College is when I took an interest in writing but didn’t fully pursue it until 2021. I have many other creative endeavors I want to get my foot in, but I have a whole lifetime to dive into them.

Alright, so we’d love to learn more about your acting career. What should we know?
My career isn’t nearly as decorated as I would like it to be. I started as background, to connect with other creatives—just networking. But seeing behind the scenes and these prominent actors do their job was thrilling to me. I wanted to go deeper, which is what I plan to work on this year. So stay tune! A few sets I’ve been on are productions such as Queens, Cobra Kai, Ordinary Joe, and ATLANTA. I have future plans to create and direct shows and movies. As of right now, I have a short film in the early stages of production. Without giving too much away, I plan on releasing “Vessel” (the name of the short film) towards the end of this year or the beginning of next year as it covers the topic of educating the youth on sex and sexuality. As far as my acting career, my next steps are to develop reels and content while working alongside other developing actors. Honestly, I’m just doing things that I love and enjoy and trusting God every step of the way.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Nala Jackson and Belle Collection LLC and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Belle Collection LLC.
I’ve Known Nala for quite some time now. Since High school, she has always been an ambitious, executing young lady. When she announced her pursuits of launching an online boutique, I was beyond proud of her; I knew this was the start of a fabulous venture. When she invited me to be a model for one of the collections, I felt honored. The whole journey was unforgettable; it was one of my favorite projects. If you know Nala, she’s all about owning your beauty and being confident in yourself. Belle Collection embodies just that. Nala is entirely intentional about the pieces she selects, to how the clothes are represented through us, the models, and making sure we reflect the energy she wants her customers to feel, sexy and unconditional fabulous. I am a forever Belle Collection model. I stand with what Nala Promotes; It’s a blessing to be included in such a fabulous company.

Here’s something funny, if you search my name up, you’ll find my very first photo shoot. Honestly, it’s a hot mess, and it was something I used to be embarrassed about, but It didn’t stop me from improving myself. Comparing my work to it now, you can see the growth in my confidence. That’s all that modeling is, being confident in your beauty and imperfections. As a child, every week, I would dress up either in my fanciest clothes and my pajamas. I’d gather my family in the living room and have a fashion show. “Introducing Sarai Jimenez,” with the majority of the lights turned off, I would walk the hallway that leads into the living room and pose in front of my family. They’re what fueled my passion in everything I do; they always entertained every little thing I did. From fashion shows, to signing concerts, and constantly reminding me who I am.

Nothing in life is ever set in stone, but in 2022, I plan on releasing an EP in April, releasing a book (or two), performing spoken word, furthering my modeling and acting career, and releasing a short film. Honestly, I just love to create and get my hands on as many creative projects as I can. It’s what keeps me alive, what keeps me sane. So knowing me, this is just half of the creative ventures I’ll be achieving this year.
