Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantel Sims.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey started when I was younger, I would say 9th grade high school days I could never find anyone to do my hair nor did I always have the funds so I started learning myself. From flat ironing to glueing in track to natural styles whatever you can name I did. I got into wigs, frontals & closures about three years ago coming out a cosmetology school.

I realized that I love the creativity of it all. I would say YouTube was my bestfriend during these times. The more people and myself I practiced on the better I got and the more serious I started to take it. Now I’ve made a career out of it and have a great amount of clientele and a great support system I love it here!

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been a smooth road for me. I just get better and better while my clients also hype me up during the process.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the ShantelshironLLC story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is ShantelshironLLC. I’m a self-taught hairstylist in Stockbridge, GA. I specialize in wigs, frontals, & closures. I would say I’m known for just that because it’s what I love to do I’m always in some women’s head trying to perfect. I’m most proud of the way my business has taken off .it feels like just yesterday I was working for someone not wanting to be there when now I’m my own boss and set up my own career path. Nothing sets me apart from others I feel as if all hairstylists are best at what we do in many different ways we all just sit there at vibe it out.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I’m hoping to see shantelshiron in lights and on billboards as your driving down the highway. I’m hoping to make millions, to come up with my own products, hot combs, wig lines, and more. I’m hoping to be well known.
