Meet Syncere Jefferson of Emperial Music Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Syncere Jefferson. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Emperial Music Group is becoming the world’s hottest and fastest-growing music company. Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Emperial Music Group (EMG) has become the home for Independent Artists looking to get real exposure.

New Jersey native Ceo/Owner Syncere Jefferson (d.b.a. Syncere Evans) created a platform of his own for talented musicians to be seen and heard. Syncere being in the music industry for over 15 years started out as a production company called Phantomboyz alongside Melvin Watson (O.Gates) back in New Jersey in the early 2006 era. Doing music production for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jim Jones, B5, Alexandra Burke just to name a few.

In 2009 Syncere moved to Atlanta in pursuit of an Acting career but years later in 2017 started a music company called Flood Gates Entertainment, Flood Gates Entertainment started to gain a well-respected name for putting on the best exposure and marketing campaign for Independent Artists. Working with media companies such as XXL Freshman Magazine, The Source, Atlanta’s radio personality such as 94.5 The Streetz Ferrari Simmons and Flyguy DC, DJ Scream, Shay Star just to name a few.

When the pandemic hit in 2019, Syncere put a halt at doing live concert events. During that time, someone saw Flood Gates Entertainment name was growing rapidly and put a trademark on the name. Syncere found out as he slowly started to get back into doing business in 2021. It was too late to fight it in court so Syncere decided to went with a new name called Emperial Music Group LLC.

Syncere started where he left of and yet again, his new empire started to get a well-respected name for putting on the best Live Concert events as well as providing Independent Artists exposure in many ways such as Magassia Promotions, XXL Freshman Magazine write-ups, The Source, Billboard placements and more.

In that same breath Melvin Watson (O Gates) also started his own music label company called Demon Time Entertainment based out of New Jersey. O gates just locked in a label deal with Def Jam Records. O Gates already has artists signed to his new label Demon Time Entertainment/Def Jam such as Wan Billz, Bennie Bates, LG Malique, Zoeiana and Molly Brazy.

Syncere and O Gates will be collaborating on some projects as well as events bringing a new wave of talent not only to EMG and DTE/Def Jam but to the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When you’re in a billion-dollar industry, nothing is easy and nothing happens overnight. It’s a lot of energy, determination, tears, and falls. You just have to get up and keep going if you are motivated enough. For me when we use to shop our music as Phantomboyz, we was going against top producers on certain projects. That was tough especially when we didn’t have a name yet. We just kept going and pushing and before you know it we was having meetings and getting into building most that been in the industry could not get into. Then when I was Flood Gates Entertainment it hit differently when someone stole my name. When I started that name, no one owned it so I figure to build the name first then put a trademark on it. I went about it all wrong, but it was a learning lesson for me.

I credit my creator for shedding light on my platform. I credit my family for keeping the battery in my back to continue to go on.
