Teila, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into entrepreneurship started at the intersection of law and technology. I spent over a decade in legal operations and insurance litigation at companies like Progressive and State Farm. While I enjoyed the work, I often saw firsthand how inefficient systems and outdated tools were slowing down legal teams. That realization sparked a deeper curiosity—and a drive to create smarter solutions.

To build a stronger foundation, I earned my Paralegal Certification through FIU Law, completed a full-stack coding bootcamp through DigitalCrafts, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a minor in Business Administration. Combining these experiences gave me the unique ability to bridge the gap between legal processes and tech innovation.

I launched SourcePro Consultants to help law firms and service-based businesses automate their workflows, optimize their CRMs, and create sustainable digital systems. But I didn’t stop there. I’m currently building a full-scale legal tech platform designed specifically to house everything I’ve learned—combining CRM, case management, automation, and document workflows into one streamlined system. The goal? To give law firms a modern, centralized way to operate efficiently without juggling 5+ disconnected tools.

This journey has been anything but linear, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling. I’m passionate about using technology to simplify the lives of legal professionals, especially those who are often underserved by mainstream tech platforms. Seeing my clients transform the way they work is what keeps me going.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest obstacles has been funding—bootstrapping a tech-forward business without outside investment requires a lot of creativity and discipline. Every tool, every platform, and every development milestone for the app I’m building has been personally funded, which makes strategic planning essential.

Another major challenge has been marketing my services to legal and service-based businesses that aren’t always tech-savvy. Many of the professionals I serve know they need better systems, but they often feel overwhelmed by the technology or don’t know where to start. Bridging that gap—translating complex tools like CRM automation and workflow systems into something accessible and useful—has taken a lot of education, patience, and trust-building.

Despite the challenges, I’m deeply committed to helping legal and service-based professionals understand that tech doesn’t have to be intimidating—it can be empowering. My mission is to simplify the process and show them how the right systems can reduce stress, save time, and support growth.

What I like most about Atlanta and West Cobb is the peace and sense of community. The opportunity to network with so many driven, talented minority professionals is something I truly value. There’s a strong sense of support and collaboration that makes this city stand out, especially in the legal and tech space. The diversity and the potential for growth here are endless, and I love being part of that energy.

What I like least would definitely be the traffic. The congestion in Atlanta, especially with the civil engineering projects that have made getting around a bit more challenging, can sometimes make attending networking events or just getting from one part of the city to another feel like a major effort. It’s hard to stay focused on growth when you’re stuck in traffic, so I try to make the most of the commute by planning calls or getting some mental work done while I’m on the road.
