Meet Shemaiah, Dalen Keaton, Sharmara, Tina and Fred Moye of The Moye Family in Conyers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shemaiah, Dalen Keaton, Sharmara, Tina and Fred Moye.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hi, We are The Moye Family, residence of Atlanta, Gerogia. Our family our YouTube channel on January 8, 2020. The name of our YouTube channel is called The Moye Family. In just a short period of time, we now have over 400 subscribers. Our channel almost didn’t come to fruition, due to the fear the opinions of others, not thinking we would get any subscribers, not having the right equipment such as cameras, lighting, editing software, and a host of other things related to finances. One day, our family put all of doubts aside and took a Leap of Faith and created our YouTube channel. Creating our YouTube channel has allowed us to share our story around the world, spread awareness about type one diabetes in kids, and we have an aspiration to expand our brand to create generational wealth for our family as well as for others.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The process has not been easy, but we are grateful and look forward to continued success. Our videos are allowing us to share our story with others around the world. Each video is created to with the intent to provide information as well as entertainment. In addition to sharing our story, we also hope to spread awareness for kids who have been diagnosed with diabetes. We have first-hand experience with this illness. My nephew Dalen is four years old and he was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 1. His diagnosis has been very challenging for our family. Dalen has been turned away by individuals and schools because they were not equipped with the knowledge or staff to properly attend to his needs. We hope that if more people become familiar with this illness that other children will not have to go through the pain of also being turned away. We also hope to create generational wealth for our family as well as for others. We would like to offer opportunities to our children that were not made available to me and my siblings, such as land, property, businesses, and, etc. Our family is very talented, and we look forward to expanding and sharing other areas with our followers. We look forward to incorporating real estate, investing, as well as counseling services on YouTube channel.

It hasn’t been a smooth road getting to where we are today, and we have had a lot of setbacks. Our father passed away in 2015 from multiple myeloma cancer, our grandma passed away from cancer at the end of 2019, Dalen’s diabetes diagnosis, a close family relative being incarcerated, and financial hardship. Although we have been through many hardships in our lives, we have never allowed these hardships to tear us down. We’re strong believers in Jesus Christ. We hold the scripture “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” – Philippians 4:13 Jesus is the reason we’re still here today. If it wasn’t for him only God knows where we would be. Jesus is the reason we’re still here today. If it wasn’t for him only God knows where we would be. His strength and faithfulness are the very thing that has carried us through all our trials.

The Moye Family – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We’re most proud of the success of our channel and the opportunities it’s providing for us. A lot of companies have reached out to us due to the success of our channel. Our channel is different because even without all the fancy equipment and drama, we still provide good entertainment and content. The Moye Family Channel consists of a variety of pranks, vlogs, challenges, podcasts, toy reviews, book reviews, product reviews, and more. We are affiliates of Amazon, Canva, EBay, Branch Basics, Tubebuddy, and Keto Krate Box. We also do giveaways and provide lots of exciting content on our channel.

So many people have supported us from celebrities watching our videos and giving us shout-outs, to being approached by companies wanting to provide us with big opportunities, etc. YouTube has changed our lives in a way we never imagined. We’re beyond thankful for the success it’s bringing us. People from all over the world has subscribed to our channel: France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Africa, the US, Ukraine, Europe, etc. We don’t say all this to brag, but rather as a testament to the goodness God.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We feel an essential part of becoming successful is having the determination not to give up. When trial and tribulations come it’s so easy to take the easy road to give up. However, the road may look easy, it will not help you build the strength, drive, and endurance you need to become successful. We believe it takes an even stronger person to keep going.
