Meet Tim Frost of Los Borrachos Guapos in Poncey-Highland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Frost.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tim. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Some friends and I got the idea for Los Borrachos Guapos after working and spending time in late night bars, and generally being just hungry people. After careful consideration & many beers we decided tacos were in our future. I mean, who doesn’t like tacos?! We started working under a tent off a table in a parking lot outside MJQ, & moved into We Suki Suki with that help of Q to do late night food goodies there. It was there that things really started falling into place until an injury brought us to a grinding halt. After some recovery time and buying a pull behind food cart, we decided to head back to our roots & our favorite nightclub, MJQ, to once again do the lords work and bless the fair people with the best tacos they’ve ever had!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Have you ever tried to start a business? MAN, it’s a lot of work! Even though this journey has been filled with hardships and broken bones, I couldn’t be any more happy or excited about all the things I’ve learned, and I’m continuing to learn!

Please tell us about Los Borrachos Guapos.
Los Borrachos Guapos is your favorite taco carts favorite taco cart! We pride ourselves on our ability to make some of the best tacos the world has ever seen…even though we’re gringos. We specialize in juicy meats, traditionally inspired flavors, & bad jokes. I guess what I’m most proud of as a company, is the look on people’s faces when they take their first bite of one of our tacos; I can’t lie, and I may be biased but, they are f@#$%*g delicious! The difference, I think, between me and other taco shops/carts? I try to not take everything so serious. I get it, its work and its serious, but hey! Who wants to do a job they hate doing? I try to make it as fun as possible. Lo mein noodles in a taco? Sure! (Yes we did it and it’s called “GUCCI MEIN”) Cool ranch Doritos on elote? Duh! What sets us apart is that we are trying to do stuff other people aren’t.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Taco night!!!
