Meet Tre Sudberry of The City’s Finest Clothing in Lawrenceville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre Sudberry.

Tre, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The reason why I came up with this idea is quite a bit crazy. I wore a shirt with my area code on it, and plenty of people asked me where I found a specific shirt like that. That shirt sparked the idea for my brand, and the rest has been history. I want to give people something that they can relate to for a lifetime. The purpose behind The City’s Finest (T.C.F.) is to allow individuals to express where they come from. Through all the ups and downs there is always beauty in the struggle, which is the start of your own true success. Through the midst of it all, no matter your level in life always remember to #NEVERFORGETWHEREYOUCOMEFROM and #REPYOURCITY! The hashtags are my motto for my brand. Since starting from last summer of 2019, I’ve made huge progresses with my brand. Many of my friends, and others across the world are endless with the support, it’s quite shocking. Today I’m just looking to take it to the next step, where I want to network with some very popular people to continue to become worldwide, which is my primary goal. I’m looking to connect the world globally in its unique way, and also be as different as possible. Having different individuals express where they are from, puts a sense of happiness in my soul, the feeling is unexplainable. Once again, #NEVERFORGETWHEREYOUCOMEFROM and always #REPYOURCITY! The brand has so much in store!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It just hasn’t been smooth. Nothing worth having ever comes easy in life. The reason I say this is because as I’m growing in business, I’m learning the ins and outs of business as well. I’ve never been around business, or have anyone show me how to operate one as well. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy at all, and I had to realize that once I took that step to be my own boss. There has been many struggles along the way. Some days I feel stuck, some days I don’t. Some struggles have been of course, getting my brand to the right people so they can promote it in a fashionable way. Struggles with not having enough money, and building everything on your own from the ground up. Struggles of not having an investor. Struggles of not having the support you thought you would have. Struggle of not thinking your brand is enough, which is just regular human thinking. Not being super Instagram famous, or twitter famous could be a downfall as well, but you can’t let that detour you. I also have to get out of my comfort zone in order to take my brand to the next level. I’m not afraid of talking to anyone at all, but if I don’t know people, I rather keep quiet. One specific conversation could change my entire life, and I always have to remind myself that. Also, seeing things other peoples brand pop overnight on social media is a struggle too when you’re trying to get your name out there as well. I do understand nothing happens overnight, and once I do pop my foundation will be strong and solid. Having a business or brand is way harder than it seems, and everyone doesn’t realize that.

Please tell us about your business.
I specialize in clothes. The city’s finest clothing represents something globally, not just one specific city. It will soon represent all cities around the world, and even in other countries. I am most proud of the fact that I started it on my own, really without any help, and took that risk. The ideas that I have for the brand are endless, and that’s what sets me apart from everybody else. It’s not just one specific design, every shirt or hoodie I have will be different correlating with whoever I sell it too, that is the difference.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
After making it as big as I dream, I want to give back to my community from where I’m from such as food drives, book bag drives, feeding the homeless, A.A.U. Basketball teams, scholarships to kids, etc. I want to help others and not be selfish with so much opportunity in the world. These are my plans for the future. I want to be in a position to help others rather than myself, who needs it. If there are any big changes, it would be collabs with other major companies, celebrities, etc. I’ve contacted Desi Banks and he’s worn a shirt in the video skits he does. It was a very cool experience. I’m looking to network with whoever. I want to be able to allow people always to rep where they are from.
