Meet Quincy Ellis of Truu Nation Entertainment in South

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quincy Ellis.

Quincy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a passion for the Arts since I was young. I knew I wanted to inspire others, have a positive impact on the world, & broadcast my creativity. Something I always tell myself & others is to NEVER give up & ALWAYS pursue your dreams no matter what! I was once a young child with the dream of becoming the man I am TODAY! I’m now an award-winning Film Director, Actor & Model!

With my films being streamed worldwide on streaming platforms such as Roku, DCM-TV, MAFA Short Film, Sofy.TV, International Film Festivals & More! However, nothing was overnight, being one of the CEO’s of our upcoming brand “Truu Nation Entertainment LLC” with my best friend & photographer Brian Henderson took a lot of hard work, consistency, & dedication. Around Summer 2013, I started doing Youtube Videos with other members of Truu Nation.

A few years later, I got into modeling & not too long after that my photo(s) began to receive awards. This caught the attention of various clothing lines & I began to wear their clothes & became a brand Ambassador for their clothing. I see it as an honor to represent their merchandise. Getting into Film has been an amazing & rewarding experience, I get to express my creativity & the audience can view my vision. I remember dreaming of seeing myself on tv & movies, & now it’s a reality. My recent mystery film “VOID” is currently one of the highest rated films on sofy.tv, which post award-winning films.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In the early years of Truu Nation, I attended Bethune-Cookman University, & most of Truu Nation at that time went to Albany State University. One of the earlier challenges we encountered was simply getting everyone in the same proximity to record; we had different schedules & locations. That occasionally delayed projects.
