Meet Tyannah Danyelle of Cosmic Bliss Beauty in Lithonia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyannah Danyelle.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tyannah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I always say my business venture was made just for me. Growing up, I experienced things that made me feel bad about myself and who I was. I didn’t grow up believing that I was beautiful or worthy of anything more than what I used to. That mindset led me to make bad decisions which led to other bad decisions. After I had given birth to my daughter, my life and my mental state began to change. I had a reason to live, I now had a purpose as well as another life that I was responsible for. However, I was still missing something, I still felt like I was just surviving not living. In 2014, I began my self-love journey.

During that time, I was going through a major change in my life, more so of an awakening and I was learning how to love and accept myself, flaws and all. I ended up Loc-ing my hair, I changed the way I ate, I changed the people I interacted with and I changed what I exposed myself to on a daily basis. Of course, with so much change, I felt secluded. Nobody, family and old friends understood what I was going through and why I decided to make the changes I made so I found myself home a lot lol. I had to make use of all this at home time so I started making things, creating. I learned about the power and benefits of essential oils, the benefits of herbal bath detoxes and all these different things and I was intrigued. Shortly after that, I learned about the world of esthetics.

Once I started school, it wasn’t long before I knew or realized that this is exactly what I was meant to do. I began to realize the importance of self-care and beauty and how it ultimately affects our self-confidence. I also began to realize how good I felt by helping other women feel good about themselves. As a mother, I had a new understanding of how important it is to make sure that you, no matter your title, maintained a healthy mind-state as well as taking the time out to take care of you. The term self- care began to grow and mean more and more to me and I began to relay that message and that meaning to others, to women. As an esthetician, My purpose is to educate and encourage women to always remember that you cannot be of service to anyone, children included if you are not happy with you. We should always hold on to the things that sparks our individuality as well as take time out of our long days or weeks to feel pampered, worthy & Loved.

Today, I like to think of my business as a safe haven for women to come and relax while getting beauty treatments and amazing conversation.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road !! Trying to make a living off of pure passion is a struggle in itself lol. Convincing potential clients how your services can help with other things besides making them look good can be a challenge sometimes. Effective pricing that benefits me as well as doesn’t hinder the client or turn them away is another challenge. However, I’ve learned quickly to charge what you’re worth, you’re ideal client will be glad to pay. Having a family as well as other responsibilities, can sometimes be a little bit more than a hassle. I can also say that practicing what I preach can be a struggle too. Having a family of my own, I too sometimes forget that I HAVE to take the time out to take care of me. I, too have to hold on to my individuality and put my happiness first. So much goes into building and maintaining a business and it can take a lot out of you as well as other life’s obstacles.

What sets me apart is that my services are no limited to a treatment room. I offer mobile services as well as spa parties. I can create an experience or a vibe wherever I go. I also host self-care events for the community of Atlanta.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me means Freedom. Free to love, create and to express myself, my thoughts and my visions to the world while living financially free. I hope to succeed by inspiring women to be bold in who they are and to embrace the things that society may not embrace. Spreading the knowledge that self-care, whether it be physical, mental or emotional is Always the best care.
