Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m the Creative Director and Founder of In Veronica’s Corner. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Spelman College, and a Master’s degree in Project Management from Drexel University.
Before starting In Veronica’s Corner, I was a Supply Chain Operations & Engineering Manager for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.
After having my son in April 2016 and wanting to stay at home with him, I left Lockheed Martin and 3 months later started In Veronica’s Corner. It started off as a Parenthood and Interior Decorating Blog partnering with small businesses on sponsored blog posts.
After receiving multiple inquiries asking if I had interior decorating services, web/graphic design services, as well as how I obtained my highly engaged and sales converting social media following, I started offering the services requested.
Fast forward a year later, I’m running 3 successful businesses as well as a social media online business marketing school.
Last year I would never have imagined reaching the level of success I’ve obtained in such a short period of time but I’m so thankful. What started off as a hobby, turned into a full-time business making me more money than I made in Corporate America.
Now my mission is to inspire and help others pursue their passions, and turn them into profitable businesses fast with the help of strategic social media marketing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a relatively smooth road as far as owning your own business goes lol. The biggest challenge for me was staying motivated when I first started, there were plenty of days where I questioned my ability to gain momentum with my business, and truly be successful. I am fortunate that I have a strong support system in my husband who always encouraged me to keep fighting for my business and ideas.
I now try to be that support system to my clients to help them stay motivated, and grow their businesses.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I could start over, I honestly wouldn’t change anything as the bumps and hurdles I climbed helped me get where I am today.
Advice I would give would be to get engaged with Facebook groups in your business niche early on as that can really help propel your business.
