Today we’d like to introduce you to Vicktory Eichelberger.
Vicktory, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I went through a lot of trauma in my childhood, which made it very challenging for me to move forward in a healthy way. I had no one I could candidly share my experience, hurts and pains with so I carry the weight that no young child should have to carry. I grew up fighting battles on all sides in my heart, at home and especially in the world. I was determined to do for me what I felt like no other person had done, protect me. I was known as Lil’ Mike Tyson. I fought! I was determined to not allow anyone to hurt me again. I was a mess to say the less.
But… then one day, I had an encounter with God. The God who saw me! The God who healed me! The God who delivered me! The God who set me free! This encounter made me want to be better a me! I allowed Him to break me in ways that the world could never break me in order to heal me. He healed my heart and soul. God taught me how to love me, but not only this, I finally believed I was loved, free and forgiven. Once I chose to forgive, I was able to overcome the power that trauma, anger, and resentment had over me. My encounter with God gave me the desire to help other women who have faced childhood trauma and feel like they have no one to talk to. I want to be that person to help them to understand with God, all things are possible.
Has it been a smooth road?
I understand that I am on a journey called life, and some roads will be more challenging than others, so I enjoy the smooth roads, so I have the strength to endure the rough ones.
We’d love to hear more about your organization.
The Whole Me consists of two components: The Whole Me: I Am H.E.R, The Whole Me: I Am H.I.M,
The Whole Me: I Am H.E.R and I Am H.I.M is intended to enhance our lives as individuals. We seek to motivate, inspire, encourage, and empower women and men to openly communicate, identify, and deal with issues that could affect the way they live their lives. We aim to bring them awareness concerning self-image, self-respect, self-esteem, positive self-love, inner love and they’re worth. Our desire is to help them to discover who they are in Christ Jesus, loving the whole person from within, outwardly. and heal from hurt of their past.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I envision us having our own building being able to provide full assistance time as well as purchasing our own cabin to host healing retreat quarterly instead of annually.
