Meet Brittany Beans of Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer in Jacksonville

Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer began as an experiment in my college dorm room at Fisk University. As a young adult enlightened by natural products, I dove into the realm of Shea Butter. This organically dense, thick moisturizer, seemed to be my answer to dry skin that plagued me during the Nashville winter season. During the harsh winter, I found my natural moisturizer hardening and becoming difficult to manage during my morning routine.

To combat my newfound frustration with Shea Butter, I chose to research and experiment with how to soften the product. Additionally, to add scent variety, I added different essential and fragrance oils to the mixture. From this innovation and curiosity, bore the beginnings of a product that is the consistency of lotion with all of the key nutrients associated with Shea Butter. Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer is a small business that is budding. With the pruning, cultivation and careful placement, that time and progress will provide. Whipped Shea will bloom into the flower that she was meant to become. Today, Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer embodies holistic care by feeding the internal and external person through natural products and life coaching services.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The path to become the fullness of who we are meant to be is never smooth. My path has seemingly been an uphill battle. I have been fortunate with support from devoted friends and family members. However, continuing to stay motivated when success isn’t always clear or visible, is challenging. Daily, I try to maintain my momentum by remembering why I began this business initially. My goal is to replenish the average woman by redefining the message and accessibility of intentional self-care. When I continue to keep my mission in mind, I become encouraged once more to keep going.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer – what should we know?
Whipped Shea Nature’s Moisturizer specializes in redefining self-care for the everyday woman. We strongly believe that the practice of caring for oneself cannot be fully achieved without addressing the internal areas of growth. Our company provides access to feeding one’s skin through the use of natural products while engaging in insightful Soul Conversations independently to uncover buried or new grounds of mental development.

The message of self-care is consistently external. When we choose to only focus on the outside and not challenge ourselves to grow and reevaluate internally, then we are truly not investing in intentional development into a better version of ourselves. We choose to challenge our ladies to remember who they are destined to become, and encourage them not to leave themselves behind in their rush to take care of everyone else.

Quite simply- Creating. My favorite childhood memories are of me drawing, painting, singing, making jewelry, cooking… anything that allows me to express unconfined.
