Rising Stars: Meet Josephina Whatley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josephina Whatley.

Hi Josephina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I found interest in music at a young age and started singing in the church as a teen.  I took my love for music very seriously and started helping locals in Birmingham achieve their career goals.  I’m an expert songwriter and I’ve been singing most of my life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
During my life, I’ve found energy from my many obstacles and hurts, which made me more resilient. I’m always learning more about myself and being a creative artist. I’m working on new music and I can’t wait to share my southern glamour with the world.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an aspiring influencer, a plus-size model, and a content creator. I host a show called PJ’s House Live on YouTube. I’m excited to share my platform with entertainment entrepreneurs and other content creators like myself.

I’m currently in the studio recording new music and I’m offering songwriting consultation at economical rates for those with small budgets.  I’m building my audience on Youtube with my Channel PJ’s House Live.  I recently interviewed Grammy Board Member Natalis Ruby and I’m looking forward to interviewing more public figures and entrepreneurs.  I’m looking to work my way into a better financial situation. Being on a fixed income has its challenges but I’m at a pivotal point in my career where I see things are really about to take off.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
To trust in my faith which is in Jesus. I’ve learned to trust my process. I’m a very special person and I believe my faith in Christ Jesus has blessed me to be an example and live in an authentic space. I’m so thankful for my family and I’m blessed to have them support my efforts and endeavors. So world be on the lookout for many more creative projects and music from Josephina “Badgaljodi “Whatley!
