Meet Fonda Johnson of Luster Strut in Kennesaw

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fonda Johnson.

Fonda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Fonda Johnson, the owner of Luster Strut, an online boutique. I’m a seasoned hair and makeup artist that has always expressed my creative and fashion style. People always ask me where I purchased my clothing and accessories pieces and what made me style them the way I do. So, I decided to launch an online boutique and style the clothes the way I would wear them.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Wholesalers has been one of my biggest impediments. I’ve found many wholesalers, but finding my style or finding manufacturers to produce my style along with the minimum quantity requirements has been a challenge and a barrier.

We are designed for the creatively stylish. We are known for fashion forward pieces that inspire you to express yourself in your own unique way. What sets us apart from others is offering unique pieces that you more than likely won’t see on someone else in the same room.

What were you like growing up?
While growing up in Marietta, Georgia, I watched my mother express herself through her outfits, not caring about others’ opinions. This definitely stuck with me and became a part of my fashion ritual. It was set in stone after I discovered Diana Ross! Because of this and being somewhat of an introvert, I was called prissy, which changed to bougie as I got older. I decided to embrace all of it and share it with the world.
