Meet Eversen Bevelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eversen Bevelle.

Eversen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started at Dekalb County television station as the M.O.S. (Man on the street reporter). I began hosting blues and jazz festivals. I was among the top 5 for the GA lottery talent search for the next host of the GA lottery. Got into the nightlife as a photographer with ATLPics. I left those careers in 2011 and joined the Carnival Cruise line and became a cruise director in January 2014 and have been ever since. I recorded my own “Good Morning song” “Good morning (Soca) that people love to wake up to.

Has it been a smooth road?
This ride has been smooth. Everything I’ve done has been in the career I wanted it to be in. Every role I found a place I’ve worked it’s because I went after it.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Right now and always, I specialize in smiles and a good atmosphere. I’m like a social catalyst taking people from all walks of earth and bringing them together through laughs and love. Since the pandemic began, I started doing a FB Live morning show on Latitude28 Band FB page. It’s been great being able to be part of people’s lives when they need joy the most. Each day has a theme Muscle Mondays, Topical Tuesdays, Whip it UP Wednesday (my most popular) where my sister chef joins me as we prepare vegan meals and desserts. Thirsty Thursdays, where I make tasty Juice recipes with my Breville juice fountain Elite. Freaky Fridays, where we lip-sync play fun music guests.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The cruise industry I feel like will always have a place. The world 71 percent water. Meaning to get anywhere we sail or fly. After times like these, people want to get away. I know as always, the industry will create new, even better ways to sanitize to keep people safe and secure while away from home.
