Today we’d like to introduce you to King Saint MVP.

Hi King, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I believe it all started at a young age. Lol, very young…. I was around the age of 5 or 6 with a keyboard that you can record and create drum loops on. I had dreams of hearing my music on Hot 97 as I listened to the new Biggie, Wu Tang, Dr. Dre, NAS, AZ, 2 PAC, Mos Def and many more. Music is literally in my DNA. From my grandfather creating gospel records to my mother’s ability to sing. Studying music from such an early age provided me with the skills to refine my craft through various instruments and musical influences. My first instrument starting out with was the clarinet, from there my main instrument of choice was the alto saxophone. Around this time in my life, I had enrolled with a performing arts junior high school and was active within the church choir. I love all genres of music but if you was to ask me which genre is my first love? The answer would be Hip Hop. From the melody’s to the percussion rhythm and poetic flow of the lyrical magic that touches one’s soul. HIP HOP is my first love. As I got older, growing up in New York streets wasn’t easy and you can easily get tied up in the street life. My love for God, Music and Hip Hop got me through it. Big shoutout to NAS, JAY-Z, Common, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang and Pharrell for their contributions to Hip Hop. Thank you for being a father figure in my life. Now let’s fast forward a little bit. In 2019, I started this musical movement called M.V.P ( Musical Visionaries Productions LLC. ) What’s our slogan you asked? Well, it is “ Musically perfected through the movement of sound. “ This movement was already in motion prior to 2019. I felt that around this time, I was ready to go all in and step out on faith. Allowing God to lead me on the path and to follow steps not for only my success but my daughter “Destiny” as well.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road but maintaining who I am and what I believed in, kept me strong. My life growing up wasn’t always great and as i got older it seems like there were forces trying to prevent me from reaching my goals even to this day. I was homeless at one point in my life and running the streets was a way of life. Survival at any means. That was just life coming up… You know. Now within the musical world or shall I say universe. The struggles tend to be the same of one’s life. The Hustle, Grind, Chess Moves, and Snakes. You literally need to “Protect Ya Neck!” I found out that, protecting the integrity of my music and art is very vital. Many people want you to conform with the masses not seeing that you will lose your true self in the process. Music is supposed to be a form of expression of one’s life, environment, struggle, pain and love. It wasn’t meant to exploited for just pure entertainment. The true meaning of a starving artist is ME. I put my all in this. Financially, Mentally, spiritually, and physically. As an artist you invest so much in your craft. So, why are showcases and platforms charge starving artists to perform their art. Think about it. Vendors pay, Artist pay, Fans and spectators pay. At the door to perform, sell merchandise, by food and drinks. Looks like we are being exploited nowadays for our talent and getting robbed in the end. Some will say “But, it’s exposer.” Also, for the people throwing the showcases and the venue/establish that it is held in. So, now as a venue/establishment. You received free entrainment at the artist expense. “Protect Ya Neck!” “Protect Ya Art!”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a producer who goes by the name King Saint MVP. Also, when in artist mode I go by the name AMN-RA. Musical Visionaries Productions LLC ( M.V.P ) was created in 2019. Musical Visionaries Productions brings jazz, R&B, Reggae, Old School and New School Hip Hop together for a uniquely blended combination of amazing music to life. At M.V.P we’re passionate about helping artists create a unique sound that will allow us to work together in building their dream projects. We offer all services, such as: Production of beats/instrumentals, engineering, songwriting and more.
