Rising Stars: Meet Tron Sagas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tron Sagas.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As an artist – I just try to paint the perfect picture. Embracing being a music artist and a creative has been a journey of peeks and valleys. More so internally than anything as I’m sure anyone can relate to. My adoration for music creation and hip hop as a culture has been serendipitous to say the least. I’ve been blessed to be able to hone my intuition along with my musical ability. My current project Golden Age Sagas is a testament to that for sure. More importantly, I’ve been able to connect more closely with people through the music and even with the ones I hold dear.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path has been earned not given for the most part. A lot of the journey is learning on the job as most of us do. I never truly had advisement. I utilized knowledge that I learned from the greats and the ones who came before me. I applied that to my approach to music making and business. As an independent artist – I conduct most of the tasks and functions as a label would and truthfully it was exhausting at first because it felt like I was spinning my wheels. Trying to figure out if I was doing things right instead of being present. I disregarded feelings and perspectives thinking I knew better and it sullied relationships but I was never too proud to admit my faults. Those mistakes and miscues sharpened my mind and my approach to all facets of my creativity and business endeavors. I had to understand where I was at first in terms of mentality and surroundings. Instead of trying to jump the gun. I had to sit with myself to reflect on what I did right and wrong and how can I be more intentional moving forward. I had to learn why I ended up in the scenario and where I truly was in life. I thank the friends and family who supported me through those times as well. They strongly encouraged me to not give up on what I believed and envisioned but more importantly not to lose my passion for the art and culture because of miscues.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music artist primarily and a full-scale creative closely second. I specialize with music composition/recording, songwriting, A&R, creative direction, merchandising and digital marketing. As an independent creative – I tend to take on most jobs incorporating my work for improvement reasons. I feel like I’m known and what sets me apart is the nostalgic, smooth, 90s esque style of music which I made a point to convey sonically. However, I’m taking a more world-fusion approach. I’m most proud of this recent compilation album because Golden Age Sagas was a culmination of many experiences from my solo beginnings to now.
