Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Davis.
Cassandra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began in photography when my children were little. They all are adults now. I became interested after capturing memories of them growing up, so I used a camera that was issued to me by my job & went to work. I am pretty much self-taught in the craft, but as years went on I have taken courses, attended workshops, and learned a lot from others in the industry, as well. Right now, I mostly photograph corporate & small business headshots and events. I am looking to work with small businesses to help them brand themselves in the future.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has gotten easier over the years, but the most challenging thing I’ve encountered is still finding time to run a photography business while working a full-time job and being a part-time college student. I am currently a junior online student at Savannah State University. It can be demanding, I just prioritize, well.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I created Pure Amethyst Photography to capture individuals and moments that can last for generations. And through working thru the Covid-19 pandemic, that is more important than ever. Life is unpredictable and I aim to bring out the best in those that I photograph by making them smile, inside and out and giving then an experience that will make them comfortable and satisfied. I specialize in event photography & professional headshots. I really would like to work and assist small businesses with branding.
