Today we’d like to introduce you to N’ova J.
Hi N’ova, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started singing in the church when I was four years old. I continued doing that through college and just started releasing music in 2022! Since then, I’ve had the honor to perform some great festivals and release new music. I believe we can have, be, or do anything we put our minds to. My music is a medium I use to carry that message.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy. I started music after my accounting career while pursuing my MBA. I was basically running on no sleep and a dream. Working 12 hours, studying, then going to the studio showed me how to preserve and work for what I believe in. Thankfully I always had the support of my family and friends.

My name is N’ova J and I’m a neo-soul artist in Atlanta. I am currently a full-time artist! I recently accepted the position of host for solid state studios and will be performing at VINYL Atl on January 20th. I perform shows 1-3 times a week around the city of Atlanta. I am proud of the connections I’ve made in my music career. I believe my message and purpose sets me apart but that we all shine and even brighter together!
What were you like growing up?
I have always loved to sing. I discovered early on that my passion and purpose was helping others. I volunteered and mentored my way through high school and college. I was very shy growing up which is funny to think about now being a host and artist.
