Hi Daverney, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I’m constantly learning from the people around me—especially my peers, the families we serve, and the broader community. Every interaction is an opportunity to grow. Whether I’m supporting a young scholar during tutoring, listening to a parent share their challenges, or collaborating with other leaders in the nonprofit space, I’m soaking up wisdom and perspective.

As the founder of Limitless Community Outreach Ltd., my greatest lessons come directly from the community we’re working to empower. Their resilience, creativity, and passion are daily reminders to me of why this work matters. They teach me not only what’s needed, but how to show up—with empathy, adaptability, and purpose.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Daverney Freeman, and I’m the founder and Executive Director of Limitless Community Outreach Ltd., a nonprofit rooted in Clayton County, Georgia. We officially launched in 2022, but the vision for this work has lived in me much longer.

At my core, I’m an advocate—a voice for youth, families, and underserved communities who are often overlooked but overflowing with potential. Limitless was born from the belief that when you remove barriers and provide real access to education, resources, and support, people rise. Period.

We work hands-on in our community providing free tutoring, youth leadership programs, parenting workshops for at-risk mothers, and professional development for educators. What makes us different is that we’re not just delivering services—we’re building relationships. We meet people where they are, and we stay connected.

Right now, we’re focused on expanding our reach, deepening our programs, and securing a permanent center that can serve as a community hub for education, advocacy, and healing. Every donation, every volunteer, every partnership brings us one step closer to a reality where families in our community not only survive—but truly thrive.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks bonds is often silence—when people stop being seen, heard, or understood. Whether it’s between friends, families, or entire communities, disconnection tends to grow in the absence of empathy and open communication. And for many of the families I serve through Limitless Community Outreach, those broken bonds are often generational. Systemic barriers, trauma, and unmet needs create gaps—gaps in trust, access, and opportunity.

But what restores those bonds is presence. It’s listening, showing up consistently, and offering compassion without conditions. I’ve seen powerful healing happen when we simply provide a safe space for people to feel supported and valued. Whether it’s a young person finding their voice through our youth programs or a mother finally feeling like she’s not alone—those moments remind us that love, accountability, and shared purpose can rebuild what was lost.

At Limitless, we’re not just restoring bonds—we’re rewriting stories. One relationship at a time.

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Absolutely. I remember being a young mother navigating life’s chaos—school, work, parenting, and everything in between. There was a moment when I didn’t need advice or judgment—I just needed someone to hear me. I opened up to a mentor who simply held space for me. She didn’t rush to fix anything. She just listened. In that moment, I didn’t feel like a case or a statistic—I felt human.

That experience shaped how I show up for others through Limitless Community Outreach. When you’ve been listened to with empathy, you never forget it. It teaches you how to listen to others with the same compassion. That’s how resilience grows—not from pretending everything’s okay, but from being seen and supported exactly where you are.

At Limitless, we lead with that kind of listening. Because sometimes the most powerful transformation begins with three simple words: “I hear you.”

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
Fads move fast—but foundational shifts move people.

I’ve learned to recognize the difference by paying attention to who’s being served and what’s being sustained. A fad tends to show up loud, make a splash, and fade just as quickly, often driven by trends or social hype. But real change? It shows up consistently. It solves problems at the root. It empowers people to carry it forward long after the headlines are gone.

At Limitless Community Outreach, we don’t chase what’s trending. We follow what’s transforming. When I see community members creating their own solutions, youth returning as mentors, or parents sharing what they’ve learned with others—that’s when I know it’s not just a moment. It’s a movement.

True shifts don’t demand attention—they earn trust. And that’s what we’re here to build.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is the impact—the ripple effect of love, advocacy, and belief poured into people who needed it most.

If my name, titles, and possessions were stripped away, I’d hope what’s left is the proof that someone cared deeply about community. That a young person who once struggled in silence now has a voice and vision. That a mother who felt alone now walks with confidence and support. That families who faced barriers found a bridge.

Limitless Community Outreach was never just about me. It was—and will always be—about the lives we touch, the dignity we restore, and the hope we nurture. My legacy is the seeds of empowerment planted in every child, every parent, every partner we’ve walked with. And those seeds will grow long after I’m gone.

Because what truly lasts… is love in action.
