Dani, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely—I would hire me in a heartbeat. I bring a rare mix of fun, professionalism, and reliability to every event I photograph. My organized approach ensures nothing falls through the cracks, and my clear, responsive communication puts clients at ease throughout the entire process. I know how to keep things upbeat and stress-free, even during high-pressure moments, which helps people feel comfortable and look their best on camera. Most importantly, I deliver high-quality, beautifully edited images that capture the true energy and emotion of each event. Clients trust me to show up, capture their events, and deliver—every single time. I have 35 years of experience. Wouldn’t you say I am there to deliver?

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dani Weiss, a professional photographer with over 35 years of experience capturing everything from Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to weddings and corporate events. I also photograph pets and families, telling your story with my camera.

What sets me apart is the mix of fun and professionalism I bring to every shoot. I’m reliable, organized, and extremely communicative—clients always know they’re in good hands. I thrive in fast-paced environments, keeping things upbeat while making sure every important moment is beautifully documented. My goal is to make people feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated. I don’t just show up—I show up ready to deliver.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Travel has shaped my perspective on the world. Visiting 41 countries has given me a deep appreciation for different cultures, ways of life, and the stories people carry with them. Being immersed in so many unique environments has broadened my perspective, taught me to listen more deeply, and sparked a strong sense of compassion for people from all walks of life. This understanding is reflected in my photography—I aim to honor everyone’s individuality and background, and I believe that a global lens helps me connect with people in a genuinely authentic way.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell her, “You’re doing just fine—trust yourself and your gut.” There weren’t many moments early on when I second-guessed my path or felt the need to prove myself, but every twist and turn still played a role in shaping the life I have now—doing work I love and connecting with people in meaningful ways. I’d remind my younger self that staying true to who you are—creative, curious, and bold—is exactly what opens doors and leads to a fulfilling life.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d say that connection, authenticity, and making people feel seen truly matter to me. Whether it’s through my work or my relationships, I care deeply about showing up for people and creating meaningful experiences. I value honesty, laughter, and being fully present—whether I’m behind the camera, making jewelry or just hanging out with friends. I think they’d also say I’m fiercely loyal, a great listener, and someone who brings both heart and humor into everything I do.

I hope people say, “Dani? Oh yeah—she was a total badass with a camera and a heart the size of a small country.” I want to be remembered as someone who made people laugh so hard their faces hurt, who danced when no one else was dancing, and who somehow managed to capture people at their absolute best—usually while cracking a joke mid-shoot. I hope they say I made them feel truly seen and celebrated, and that I brought a little silliness and a lot of fun wherever I went. And if they throw in something about my killer playlists and ability to socialize in any situation, that would be perfect.
