Good morning Nyah, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Praying helps me lose track of time and find myself again. Every moment with God restores me, clears my mind, and reminds me of who I am. It’s in His presence that I gather my thoughts, realign my steps, and get my life back on track.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Nyah, and I’m the heart behind Unfiltered Beaute. I started my journey in 2018 doing lashes out of my mom’s house, with nothing but her belief in me and my determination to make something out of it. Over the years, I built my lash business from the ground up, promoting myself in school, at my job, and anywhere I could. That hustle taught me not only how to grow a business, but how to market myself, create content, and build real connections.
Now, I’m stepping into a new season. While lashes will always be a part of my story, I’ve expanded into digital products, content coaching, and lash education. What makes my brand special is that it’s not just about business, it’s about equipping others with the tools, confidence, and strategy to step into their own success.
Right now, I’m working on new resources, courses, and coaching programs that will help entrepreneurs and creatives take their passions online and build businesses that give them freedom. My mission is simple: to share what I’ve learned, inspire others through my story, and show that with faith, strategy, and consistency, you can create the life you dream
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that constantly felt like I had to be “booked and busy” to be successful has served its purpose and now must be released. In the beginning, that hustle mindset pushed me, it got me started in lashes, helped me grow my business, and taught me discipline. But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized that true success also requires stillness, clarity, and alignment. Now, I’m learning to release that pressure and embrace a new season where I can build smarter, create impact through digital products and coaching, and give myself grace along the way.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was definitely a time I almost gave up. In 2023, I actually took a 6-month break from lashing because I felt so drained. I kept attracting clients who weren’t my ideal clients, and instead of feeling fulfilled, I felt exhausted and disconnected from why I started in the first place. That break was hard, but it ended up being one of the best things for me. It gave me the space to reset, refocus on the kind of clients and work I truly wanted, and come back with a fresh vision for not just lashing, but for expanding into digital products, coaching, and courses.

“That you need a huge following to make money.”
Social media has convinced artists that big numbers = big success, but I’ve seen artists with 1,000 followers earning more than those with 50,000 because they understand strategy.

They’d definitely miss my genuine energy and the way I make every client feel comfortable, like they’ve known me forever. I create more than just a service—I create an experience where people feel seen, cared for, and understood. That connection is something I pride myself on, and I know it’s what keeps my clients coming back.
