Grinxhy of East Atlanta on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Grinxhy and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Grinxhy , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day is simple, I first wake up and thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for still allowing me to have breath in my body, so I can to continue to become a better man , & a better artist in the industry , I read about 4-5 Bible scriptures, I call and check in on my mom & dad due to me not living with them these last 3/4 years they cant take it sometimes lol…., then I of course get myself together hygiene wise, then I get medicated (If You Know You Know) then I cook up new music or I will criticize my music I recorded especially for this new album “Please Hear Me Out” that I plan on releasing soon.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s Good Yall I Am Grinxhy, Rapper, Songwriter, & Artist Out Of Atlanta Ga, I love to make music thats my passion and gift that I was blessed with that I wanna share with the world. I feel like what makes me different is my work ethic & my drive that I have for my music career , I invest in myself , no manager, or nobody ever funded my career, the pinnacles and achievements I reached so far been just Me putting in the countless hrs and hrs of work, and my story is big enough for a book. But you gotta be willing to understand me. hopefully this interview will shed a little light on it.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Parents, they always believed I was capable of doing anything I had put my mind too. They knew and seen the “GREATNESS” in me before I could even notice it. I truly thank GOD for them everyday, truly blessed and humbled for them.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If it was one thing I could say to my younger self it would be “IM PROUD OF YOU” , Im proud you blocked out the negative, the ignorance of people’s opinion on you, im proud of the way you steadily improved and pushed yourself time and time and time again , putting in countless hours of work , your grit, dedication, determination, and patience is god gifted. NOW LOOK AT YOU…. CANT BE NOTHIN BUT PROUD OF YOU LIL GRINXHY

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
God, Family, Music, & Peace.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Absolutely I feel like I was put on earth to make music since a kid I was musically inclined and in tuned from playing drums, piano, to now making music these last 13 years . I know music is my calling and my gift .
