Lyric , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
My normal day consist of getting up for work. Managing my division. The after-work I either go to the gym or head home and work out cook sometimes and then try to relax and reflect and plan.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Lyric thomas I run a Hatline called star quality fitted. I started branching out into shoes and other head gear. I also have a radio station called your roots radio as well as an event/IT business called Bermuda Restore

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
They world tried to tell me who I was..I defined and define who I am to this day. I’m ever changing,growing and learning I’m constantly evolving and developing who I am.. it will never stop until my last breathe…

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Why I started asking myself why not me instead of asking myself why me? Changing that mindset changed the course of my life. WHY can’t I have the things that I know I can. WHY Not me became the reason I pushed myself to elevate because I knew I could and would at that point. The “why me? ” was a victim mentality that I had to let go to push forward

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That just because you can doesn’t mean you should and vice versa..for example just because I can be a monster doesn’t mean I should…Some people abuse this perception of power and success just because they can…I’d never allow myself to be that person.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Worrying.. I worry alot..I wish I didn’t but I’ve learned to manage some of that worry to just the things I can control not those that I can not.
