Story & Lesson Highlights with MR. LPD of EVERYWHERE

We recently had the chance to connect with MR. LPD and have shared our conversation below.

Hi MR., thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Yes! When I Was Younger I Ran With Some Cat’s Who Were Kind Of Wild LOL! I Can Remember 1 Night A Situation Came About And I Was Packing A Gun. I Had To Make A Decision And Fast!!! If I’d Made The Wrong Decision In The Heat Of That Moment I Might Not Have Been Here For This Interview.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s Up! I Am Publicly Known As MR. LPD And I’m A Known Underground Recording Artist, Actor, Musician And Industry Insider. I’ve Been In The Entertainment Industry Since I Was A Kid.
I Have A Catalog Of Music That Dates Back To The Late 90’S And I’ve Been Seen In Some Well Known Television Shows.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Growing Up I Was The Kid That Wanted To Beat Drums And Just Create. I’ve Always Been A Creative Person. I Was Traveling With A Gospel Group In North Mississippi As Their Drummer At The Tender Age Of 8 Year’s Old. In 5th Grade I Fell In Love With Drawing And Dancing. That Same Year I Had A Painting That Actually Made The Front Page Of The Local Newspaper And It Was Put On Display At The Local Art Museum. Just 2 Month’s Later I Won 2 First Place Trophies And 100 dollars In The MC HAMMER Dance Contest. Back Then I Had No Desire To Become A Recording Artist. I Think Around The 7th Grade Is When I Started Rapping And Taking My Music Serious.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There’s Been Plenty Of Hard Times In My Life But Nothing To Ever Make Me Wanna Give Up. Hard Times And Pain Are Just A Part Of Our Lives. They Will Make You Or Break You. I Learned To Embrace Them The Same As The Joyful And The Good Times. I Can Remember A Time In My Life I Was At A Low And In A Real Dark Place. I Still Made Music Though Because It Was Very Therapeutic For Me. I Wasn’t Feeling Like Performing Or Releasing The Music But I Still Made It. One Day A Guy I Met Had A Long Talk With Me And He Actually Helped Me Get Back To Performing And Getting Prepared To Release New Music. Unfortunately He Died A Day Before I Released The Project I Had Been Working On. I Believe GOD Sent Him To Help Me Get Out Of That Dark Place And Back On The Good Foot! So Never Give Up Just Pray And Believe It’ll All Work Out.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Lol! Yes It’s Pretty Much A What You See Is What You Get Type Thing With Me. But The People Who Actually Have Had The Pleasure To Hang Around Me Or Travel And Work With Me Will Tell You That There Are Different Layers To Me. And Being A Gemini Doesn’t Make It Easy When It Comes To Which Layer You May Get LOL! For The Most Part I’m Pretty Fun, Cool And Laid Back. I Don’t Like A Bunch Of Foolishness Though, Miss Me With ALL The Bullshit!!!!!!

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
For Me It Would Have To Be When I’m Alone Just Chilling And Thinking. I Can Sit For Hours Alone Listening To Some Old School Music, Having A Cocktail And Just Vybing.
