Good morning Tonika , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of building my book without faith, as it’s impossible to achieve results without it, thereby inspiring more people to read my book and find it more inspiring.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
am Tonika Hightower-Porter, a devoted mother of two, wife, and entrepreneur who owns Soap and Water Cleaning LLC, a business I have successfully operated for 15 years. Additionally, I am an author and co-founder of Heaven Help One Help All Foundation Inc., which provides support to Georgia families in need by offering book bags, Christmas gifts, food, clothing, scholarships, and more. I am passionate about helping others and have been committed to this endeavor for 11 years.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
God recognized my potential before I acknowledged it myself. Through faith and determination, I overcame visual impairment to accomplish tasks I initially thought were beyond my abilities.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Growing up visually impaired evoked fear that I was incapable of achieving life’s objectives, but with divine guidance, I was able to attain anything I committed myself to.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am interested in writing a second book that shares my life experiences.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I aspire to be remembered as a compassionate individual who consistently prioritized the needs of others, demonstrating a selfless commitment to the well-being of those around me.
